Joe Bones is a guitar driven rock quartet. We love southern rock, blues and country music and play as much of the good stuff as we can. Yes, we’ll even play a hit song or two. We’re working on some original material as well.
Much of Joe Bones’ early history is hazy but this much we know: Kevin and Chris shared a bedroom in a shotgun shack in the west end of town where they developed the healthy sense of animosity that only brothers do. Fraser was brought up by wolves in the countryside and then lived as a hobo for many years downtown. Fraser met Kevin while begging for change at a football game and the two talked of getting together to play music. Eventually, Chris offered Fraser a place to store his bass amp and the rest, as they say, is history.
After failing to convince Chris and Kevin that Fraser should play guitar instead of bass, Joe Bones recruited a good friend, Gerry D. (aka Geraldo) to play guitar, sing and play keys on selected tunes. So far, it’s a great fit. Gerry’s tasteful and restrained playing really has added to the band’s sound!
